Incubator

An Incubator is where the eggs are hatched.  In order to hatch Leopard Gecko eggs the temperature has to be anywhere from 78 degrees to 90 degrees.  Their gender is determined by the temperature of the incubator.  To produce a majority of females the temperature of the incubator has to be between 78 and 82 degrees.  If you wanted to produce an equal amount of both males and females you would keep the temperature around 85 degrees.  To produces a majority of males keep the temperature between 88 and 90 degrees.  It takes the eggs anywhere from 50 to 55 days to hatch.  The colder the temperature of the incubator the longer it takes to hatch.  Other then keeping a certain temperature reptiles also need humidity for the eggs to hatch.  The humidity needs to be above 85%.  This makes the eggs soft enough for the gecko to poke through with its egg tooth.
